Exclusive Product
All W.O. Bentleys left the factory as a rolling chassis without bodywork, and it was up to the purchaser to decide what body type and style the car should wear. In this case the purchaser chose a ‘drophead’, or convertible as it would be called today. The coach builder was Vanden Plas, who bodied many Bentleys of this era. This is one, featured on the canvas and showcased here in Haynes Motor Museum is of only 720 produced.
In addition to the ‘drophead’ specification, Mr Meyer had the bonnet made 1 foot longer than normal as he had a stiff leg and like to drive ‘lying down’, as a result the car also has three fasteners on each side rather than the standard two, along with his request for Barker ‘dipper’ headlights.
This image and canvas are exclusive to Haynes Motor Museum along with the other products from the Icons Collection. Show off this iconic car with a 30cm x 45cm canvas print. The canvas texture enhances the image's natural look and feel, creating a truly immersive art experience.
